I aim to bring out un-tapped creativity
and potential in individuals through my lectures, and workshops.
I share this experience by teaching at guilds, conferences, museums
and for private groups. I design my workshops to release you from
rules you may have been taught in order to bring out what is most
unique about your creative ability. Most often the medium I use
to access creativity is quilting but I have also taught painters,
woodcarvers and those who don't even think of themselves as artists.
My most requested topics are thread-drawing, color theory and fabric
dye/surface design.
I am a fiber artist showing my work
in galleries and museums in the Midwest. My training comes from
Parsons School of Design and Alverno College in design, color theory,
and fiber arts. I also study with national teachers and belong to
numerous associations to keep me abreast of the latest fiber art
innovations. '
I named my company 'pizzazz' because
many of my customers would use the word 'pizzazz' in discussing
what my art and classes add to their life.'
