One of my favorite things about this piece is that it is quilted onto hand-dyed canvas. So many quilters avoid anything that isn't traditional quilting fabric. I love experimenting with novelty fabrics. I dyed this canvas and was amazed by how well it took the thread and added so much more three-dimensionality. I have similar results with prairie cloth. This piece also has silk from France, my hand-dyed cotton velveteen, and yarns similar to those found in the kits from Embellishment Village. Available for Purchase!
