Here are two images of this piece being created on my quilting machine. This is a whole cloth quilt with reverse appliqué pieces added on during my quilting process. I start with white fabric, paint my design on with thickened dyes. Then I treat the fabric to make the color permanent. Last, I embellish the fabric with my favorite markers and then it is ready to decorate with thread.
